A number of speed limits are proposed for the Poole area. Some of them won't have much effect, but the Dorset Way / Canford Way reductions are ridiculous.

Roads like this were designed as 70 MPH roads and cars are safer than ever. Accidents are caused by bad driving, not the 70MPH limit. Target bad drivers, don't reduce the limit. The short sections of 50 near the roundabout are completely ignored as they are totally unrealistic. If speed is a problem, try enforcing the current limits properly.

There will still be accidents, and only response the idiots at the council will be able to come up with is to reduce them further as seen in Bournemouth with the ridiculous 40 limit on the Wessex Way.  Conscientious drivers driving well below safe speeds will be targeted at all times of the day and night by the “sa£ety” partnerships
